SIMON Cowell was sensationally booed by the audience on Britain's Got Talent last night over his sacking of Cheryl Cole.

Cowell, 51, seen smoking at BGT's London studios, fears Chezza, 27, will never speak to him again after the US X Factor snub.

He confided in private: "She's had it with me."

The first of a week of BGT finals was the first time the mogul had been seen in public since he cruelly dashed Cheryl's dream of cracking America.

A source in the audience said: "The gossip before the show was all about Cheryl and Simon. People were reading The Sun and saying, 'Can you believe what he's done to poor Cheryl?'.

"As soon as the warm-up guy said, 'Simon is in the building,' everyone suddenly started booing. People were saying, 'That's for Cheryl'."

Cowell suffered further embarrassment when host Dec Donnelly, half of Ant and Dec, appeared to stick up for fellow Geordie Cheryl by asking: "Can you understand my accent?"

She is thought to have baffled US TV executives with her broad North East dialect.

Cowell has now stopped trying to contact Cheryl after she failed to respond to a blizzard of texts and calls.
And when ITV officially announced the new UK X Factor line-up yesterday, there was NO mention of departed judges Cheryl and Dannii Minogue.

A pal of Cowell said: "He was saying, 'She's had it with me. I've hurt her and she won't forgive me for this'.

"He is really worried that she won't speak to him ever again."

The Sun told how Cheryl blanked her former mentor all weekend as he and ITV bosses frantically tried to sign her up for the UK version of the show before auditions begin tonight.

Cowell has now signed other judges amid concerns this year's panel could be "underwhelming" for viewers, with damaging effects on ratings.

Sean Kingston, the Jamaican-American singer best known for his hit track 'Beautiful Girls', has been hospitalized after crashing his jet-ski into a bridge, according to the New York Daily News. Sean Kingston is reportedly in a critical condition in hospital after his watercraft ran into a small bridge that connects Miami's Palm Island and MACArthur Causeway.
Kingston and a female passenger were rushed to the Jackson Memorial Hospital following the crash. A spokesman for the singer's Epic record label said in a statement, "No further details are available at this moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes". Officials are currently still investigating the cause of the accident, but it is thought that alcohol did not play a part. The 21-year-old had tweeted about the holiday weekend earlier in the day, saying, "South beach...nicee...bout to get fresh and cause that movie!!..." After news of the crash began to circulate, celebrity friends of the singer rushed to Twitter to air their concern, Rihanna tweeted, "Sean we praying for u baby", while rapper Nicki Minaj said, "My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family." Ll Cool J wrote, "I hope and pray that Sean Kingston recovers quickly.. staystrong".
Sean Kingston, who released his last album 'Tomorrow' in 2009, toured with Justin Bieber on his recent 'My World' tour.

Jane Seymour now claims she was talking twaddle when she recently told reporters they could expect further bombshells in the Arnold Schwarzenegger family drama.

"There will be lots of information coming people's way," Seymour said (at the premiere of her new film, Love Marriage Wedding) on May 17. "I heard about two more [out of wedlock kids] somebody else knows about. I even met someone who knows him well."

On Friday, the red-faced actress backtracked, saying her remarks were nothing more than third-party gossip. "I'm so beyond sorry and appalled that I found myself even talking on the subject at all," Seymour said while appearing on the TV chat-show The View.

"I don't know anything about any love children, anything that I said was stupidly listening to some stuff in the media that day, everyone was talking -- I don't even know where I heard it.

"I don't know anything about anything," Seymour awkwardly explained.

"Unfortunately, the way it all got put together is beyond embarrassing, and I just feel so, so badly for Maria and the children ... I do not want to in any way exacerbate the pain that family's going through."

Maybe too late for that. Last Friday night celebrity gossip website TMZ reported that Shriver is "all systems go" ready to file for divorce as soon as next week. The couple, who were married for 25 years and share an estimated $400m (€280m) fortune, did have a prenup but legal analysts suspect, given the media attention on Arnold's philandering, it will be contested by Shriver's team.

Shriver rumours after Oprah meal

Shriver didn't spend her entire week with the team of lawyers and investigators she has employed to fight Schwarzenegger in divorce court.

Last Thursday, she was photographed enjoying a long lunch at the trendy Santa Monica waterside boite the Ivy with Bono, which naturally made the gossip columns. But Shriver's dinner date last Tuesday night caused far more chatter.

She was one of 17 other guests invited to tuck into a four-course dinner in the backroom of Chicago's Spiaggia restaurant to celebrate the taping of her friend Oprah's last show.

The dinner, Shriver's second with the talk show hostess in as many weeks, fuelled increasing speculation that the former TV news reporter is considering a return to work as part of Oprah's new TV network, OWN.

The cable station, which launched in January to lukewarm numbers, is expected to get a boost with Oprah now full-time at the helm.

She will oversee projects such as The O'Neals (featuring Tatum and Ryan in an exploration of their relationship) and Finding Sarah, (a 'docu-series' following the Duchess of York's "emotional struggle to rebuild her life") both of which are set to debut next month.

Bono has the Edge over media

BONO, who was in LA with the Edge to perform the Spiderman number Rise Above, on American Idol last week, showed he's no pushover when it comes to dealing with a hostile press.

Assuring reporters that the revamped Spiderman: The Musical will finally open as planned on June 14, the U2 frontman took the wind out of everyone's sails when he was asked to comment on The New York Times' killer preview review of the show which asked "How can $65m look so cheap?"

"It might have been a little hard for some other people around here to take that, but we don't disagree with The New York Times," Bono said. "That's the sort of stuff we were saying backstage. The last version of Turn Off The Dark had a lot of magic and mysterious stuff. It was beautiful actually, in so many ways. It just, it didn't cohere."

Pouring on the charm, the U2 duo soon had the press pack eating right out of their hands.

Asked about his recent back surgery, Bono remarked: "I've now got Made in Germany tattooed on my ass," but was upstaged by the Edge, who added: "He's also an inch and a half taller."

'Hangover' that won't go away

SOUNDS like Hangover star Zach Galifianakis is still suffering the effects of a recent meeting with January Jones.

In an interview published last week, Galifianakis was told how the Mad Men actress had described him as "the most naturally funny man she's ever met" -- a flattering comment that rubbed Galifianakis up the wrong way.

"That's really funny," he told online magazine ShortList in a tone that was anything but. "Because, if I remember correctly, she and I were very rude to each other."

He continued: "I was at a party -- I'd never met her -- and she was like, 'Come sit down'. So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, 'I think it's time for you to leave now.' So I say, 'January, you are an actress in a show and everybody's going to forget about you in a few years, so f***ing be nice,' and I got up and left ... And she thinks that's funny?"

Probably not any more.

Simon Cowell Wanted To Save Cheryl Cole

Simon Cowell's close friend Sinitta has revealed the music mogul was desperate to keep Cheryl Cole on US 'X Factor' and the pair are currently in talks.
Simon Cowell battled to try to stop Cheryl Cole being dumped from US 'X Factor'.
It was claimed earlier this week that the British singer has been replaced on the judging panel by Nicole Scherzinger although no formal announcement has been made but the music mogul's close friend Sinitta says the pair are in talks to try and resolve the situation after Fox executives reportedly insisted she was sacked.
She said: "There is something going on. All I can say is Simon and Cheryl are very close and I believe they are in talks to try and sort something out. As soon as they agree on something then we will hear about it.
"They are having private conversations. Simon really, really wanted Cheryl on the American show. He really fought to have her there.
"They are talking and they are working on something that they will agree on. Simon was 100 per cent behind Cheryl and I am sure that very, very soon, maybe today, we will find out what that decision will be."
Sinitta admitted she is shocked at Cheryl's departure - which is said to have been the result of both her strong Newcastle accent and a lack of chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul - because Simon was so happy with her progress but admitted she would love to see the singer return to the UK version of the show.
She added in an interview on UK TV show 'Daybreak': "When I spoke to Simon a few weeks ago all he spoke about was how well it was going and how much he was enjoying the show.
"Personally if she is not going to be on the American show then it would be great to have her back here - I know that's what her fans want."
Despite the claims about Cheryl's dismissal from the show, representatives for the 'Parachute' singer, Simon, or 'The X Factor' have not yet given any official comment.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been dropped as a judge on the US version of television singing contest The X Factor.

Celebrity websites TMZ.com and Us Weekly quoted unnamed sources as saying Cole, 27, was being replaced in the new Fox television venture created by Simon Cowell.
Fox said it had no information and representatives of Cole, Cowell and the show's producers did not return calls for comment.
The much-hyped X Factor, created by former American Idol judge Cowell, is the highlight of Fox's fall TV schedule. It reunites Cowell with his old Idol sparring partner Paula Abdul and offers an unprecedented $5 million (£3m) prize to the winner.
The judging panel was finalised just three weeks ago.
TMZ.com, quoting sources close to the production, said Cole was dropped because producers were worried that her strong northern English accent would be too difficult for American audiences to understand.

Tarantino drops lawsuit against Alan Ball's screaming macaws

One of Hollywood's oddest feuds ended recently when Quentin Tarantino finally settled his lawsuit against neighbor Alan Ball and his screaming, horrifying birds. Who even knew these guys were neighbors? Hollywood!

You see, the "True Blood" creator has (had?) a bunch of exotic macaws that emit "blood-curdling screams," making it impossible for Tarantino to write his next movie. Because it is very distracting to write scenes where you bash people's heads in with bats or cut their legs off with samurai swords if it sounds like your neighbor is beating you to the punch.

Ball promised to build a soundproof aviary but back last June, these devil-birds started screeching for their lives again. In March, after being forced to endure "obnoxious pteradactyl-like screams," Tarantino hired celebrity lawyer Marty Singer to get involved. Two weeks ago, the case was dropped. No mention of how they settled, just a short blip in a New York Times profile about Singer two days ago.

It's fun to try and imagine what happened here, especially since neither of the directors moved. Did Tarantino cut one of the macaws' heads off and put it in Ball's bed? Did Alan Ball promise to write a foul-mouthed vampire character based on Tarantino into the next season of "True Blood?"  We'll never know, as Singer's only response to the suit was: "That's been resolved."

Oh, that doesn't sound very good at all.

Rapper Snoop Dogg is in talks to star in U.K. reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother, according to reports.

Rapper Snoop Dogg is in talks to star in U.K. reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother, according to reports.

The hip-hop star has been invited to join a group of famous contestants inside the Big Brother house, where they will be banned from contacting the outside world.

Speculation about Snoop joining the line-up was fuelled when U.K. DJ Tim Westwood wrote in a post on Twitter.com, "They asked me to do Celebrity Big Brother. Snoop Dogg said they talkin' to him. If he goes in - I'm goin in! It'll be the Dawg House!"

Madcap actor Charlie Sheen and businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed have also been tipped for the all-star show, according to Britain's Daily Star.

Ringo Starr has said that The Beatles were "lucky" to recruit him

Ringo Starr has said that The Beatles were "lucky" to recruit him - because he was more famous than the band before he joined them.

The sticksman, who replaced original drummer Pete Best two years after the Fab Four got together to form a band in 1960, claimed he was already a star in his former band Rory And The Hurricanes before he joined Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison.

"Within Liverpool I was a lot more well known than them," he told the Daily Mail's Live Magazine. Rory And The Hurricanes were big shots in the city. We had suits. That was our claim to fame. They were lucky to get me. It wasn’t just that I was a big shot, I was a cool drummer."

The footballer at the centre of a gagging order over a relationship with reality TV star Imogen Thomas was named by an MP in the Commons today as Ryan Giggs.

Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming, who has been campaigning on the issue, said: "With about 75,000 people having named Ryan Giggs on Twitter, it is obviously impracticable to imprison them all."

The MP's action finally lifted the blackout on mainstream media identifying the Manchester United star even though a High Court judge had again refused to lift the injunction earlier today.

House of Commons speaker John Bercow took the MP to task over his action, saying: "Let me just say to the honourable gentleman, I know he's already done it, but occasions such as this are occasions for raising the issues of principle involved, not seeking to flout for whatever purpose.

"If the honourable gentleman wants to finish his question in an orderly way he can do so."

Mr Hemming said: "The question is what the Government's view is on an enforceability of a law that clearly doesn't have public consent."

Attorney General Dominic Grieve said: "It is our duty as parliamentarians to uphold the rule of law."

The Oprah Winfrey Show creaks towards its final airing, the world has divided into those who don't want the chat show queen to leave, those who can't wait to get shot of her

OPRAH WINFREY SHOW:20TH ANNIVERSARYAs The Oprah Winfrey Show creaks towards its final airing, the world has divided into those who don't want the chat show queen to leave, those who can't wait to get shot of her and those who haven't realised what Oprah is up to.
With a quarter-century of five-slots-a-week presenting under her belt, and a $2.5 billion fortune to show for it, the
54-year-old could have retired to her grand northern California estate, there to luxuriate on the sunny terrace of her faux Georgian mansion, thinking of how far she'd travelled from a poor upbringing in rural Mississippi.
Such a scenario appears not to have entered Oprah's thinking. Far from marking the end of her epic career, the wrapping up of the chat show signals the start of the even bigger adventure she's been thirsting after for years. The aim now is to become the world's first one-woman television network, and beyond that, the centre of a global lifestyle franchise. And although she has the pedigree, the star power and the financial backing, the odds appear heavily stacked against her succeeding.
Every day last week, thousands of viewers left heartfelt messages on Oprah's website, already one of the world's most visited. "I never could afford a psychologist or therapy," wrote one fan, "and you have been that for me! I am so going to miss our daily sessions." Another pleaded: "How can we repay you for all you have done for us, mentally, physically and emotionally? What you have done for us is priceless. We don't want you to go, but we must cut the umbilical cord and let you soar into your next destiny. We pray for your peace and serenity as you venture into this new phase of your life."
Yet behind these fond sentiments lie some harsh realities. Oprah's ratings have been sliding for years, and while no show can expect to maintain its popularity indefinitely, there swirls around it a sense of outdatedness, even obsolescence. The once-heady mix of emotional voyeurism, cod psychology and mother-lode mentoring which played so well in the Eighties has proved less suited to today's climate of recession, insecurity and war-weariness.

Sir Fred Goodwin's mistress promoted twice when he was RBS boss

SHAMED banker Sir Fred Goodwin's high-flying lover was promoted twice while he was Royal Bank of Scotland boss.
The married dad-oftwo had an affair with a senior colleague as the bank lurched towards financial disaster and a £45.5billion bailout funded by taxpayers.
Politicians have called for an urgent probe into whether the relationship breached business guidelines after Goodwin used a gagging order to try to stop details of the affair being published.
Lib Dem MP John Hemming, who revealed Goodwin's injunction to the House of Commons in March, said: "The question about Fred Goodwin's management of RBS is whether it was managed in the stakeholders' interests or run as a personal fiefdom.
"That his mistress was promoted twice while he was chief executive is something the Financial Services Authority need to look at."
Lib Dem peer Lord Oakeshott used the right of parliamentary privilege to reveal more details of the gagging order on Thursday.
Later that day, Mr Justice Tugendhat, in the High Court, allowed reporting of Goodwin's name but not of relationship details.
The FSA said: "We have contacted RBS in relation to this matter."
RBS said they will "co-operate fully".

Writer may face court for Tweeting footballer's name

A high-profile journalist who named a footballer protected by a privacy injunction in a message he posted to Twitter has been warned he may face contempt of court proceedings – and a possible jail sentence. Lawyers for the Premier League player asked a High Court judge to consider a criminal prosecution against the writer for breaching the terms of the order, the Mail on Sunday reported. Contempt of court convictions in theory can lead to two year jail sentences.

The case is due to be passed to the Attorney General, Dominic Grieve QC, after lawyers from Schillings asked for the journalist's tweet to be scrutinised. Mr Justice Tugendhat agreed to refer the case involving an English footballer, known only by the court code TSE, to Mr Grieve at a hearing at the High Court on Thursday. The Attorney General's office said that it had not received the referral but said it would "consider the matter carefully".

The journalist, said to appear on BBC TV programmes, told the Mail on Sunday: "Basically, at this point, I can't say anything at all because it might be in contempt of court."

Schillings is also representing another footballer whose private life is covered by a court injunction, a case that has involved lawyers asking Twitter – a company based in San Francisco – to release the details of members of the network who appear to have broken the rules. The married player won his gagging order to stop the former Big Brother contestant Imogen Thomas and The Sun newspaper publishing details of his affair.

But yesterday American newspapers not restricted by the order began publishing details of the case and on Radio 4's Today programme, the sports star's identity appeared to be alluded to. One BBC correspondent later tweeted that a guest on the show had "got just one syllable into breaking the footballer's superinjunction".

St James’s Palace released a statement saying the couple "thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and they are grateful to the Seychelles government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special 10 days".

The Associated Press also quotes the head of the Seychelles tourism board as saying: "They left happy and clearly content with their stay".

The Seychelles High Commissioner to Great Britain, who saw them off on Friday, said: "In a world of so much turmoil they bring a welcome and much needed breath of fresh air with their warmth and humility".

Wills and Kate have their July trip to Canada and California to prepare for now.
